Chapter 6 has some great, practical advice. The slaves and masters isn’t so “today” but the mindset of how you treat those higher in authority and lower in authority is always good. In all these relationships, Paul reminds us that it goes both ways.
Children are to learn from their parents and parents are to take it easy on their kids. Slaves are to respect masters as they would obey Christ and masters are to do the same.
Paul encourages the reader to put on the armor of God. It protects us, keeps us alive, keeps us secure and grounded.
Also, we are to pray for one another: in general and specifically.
He ends the book as he began it: wishing them peace and grace though ordered in reverse this time. He also throws in love and faith. Those are probably the most needed concepts in a Christian’s life: peace, grace, love and faith. And I bet the better we practice those, the more joy we get.
