Kingdom Transfer – Colossians 1 (NIV)

Kingdom Transfer – Colossians (NIV)

As usual, Paul starts out with his thanks and reporting of his prayers for the readers. He prays they would be filled with the knowledge of His will and all wisdom and understanding from the Spirit. So that they may…

* life a life worthy of the Lord

* please Him in every way

* bearing fruit in every good work

* growing in the knowledge of God

* being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might

* have great endurance and patience

* giving joyful thanks to the Father

13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Then Paul gives a beautiful description of the Son and how all things were created through Him and are sustained in Him. Not only that but God’s fullness dwelled in Him and God was reconciled to Himself by making peace through His blood. Such big, heavy thoughts so far beyond us.

In Him we are reconciled also and are without blemish and free from accusation. We can not be accused but we tend to accuse ourselves.

He, as in other books, brings up the mystery now revealed in these times "which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
