Kids and God
I’ve said it before and I think it more often: I think our relationship with our kids is a lot like God’s relationship to us.
So today specifically I was thinking what would I want to hear my kids say? That’s probably a lot like what God might want to hear from us…
- let’s hang out
- what do you want to do?
- I love to…
- I want to be like you.
The list goes on, but you get the idea. And of course the reverse is true too – things I think about my kids God probably things about me…
- what do you love to do?
- what do you want to be when you grow up?
- let’s hang out
- I love to hear you laugh.
- I love to see you get along with your brother.
- It hurts to see you sad.
- Don’t worry.
I’m not the most patient person, but I really should remember how much He puts up with me. I’m much worse than my kids. 🙂
