Divergent (2014) DVD Review – 3.5/5

It was pretty good. I read the book but wasn’t that jazzed about it. I didn’t read the others and when I heard about the movie, I decided I’d hold off reading the others until after the movie.

I’d said I enjoyed the movie much more than the book. I haven’t said that much before.

I somewhat felt like it was a really good episode of a show you’re not a huge fan of. Probably b/c there’s so many “teenage dystopian adventure love stories” these days.

So this felt like a lesser one, but done well. Does that make sense? Like I didn’t expect too much (like 2/5) so 3.5 seems really good.
