The Ninth Gate (1999) – 2/5

The Ninth Gate (1999) Cool feel w/ the European settings, but most everything else was weak: acting, story, etc. It felt like a bad adaptation to a book (which I guess it was).

The story had promise, but was a let down. The characters were similar. The end was either mysterious or just bad. Probably bad.

Johnny Depp’s performance was dry and lifeless for the most part. Others did little to help.
