Genesis 1-3: Creation, Man, Sin – it’s about that fast

A couple things stood out to me in this reading…

V1:1 – “In the beginning…” it struck me more than before how it sounds like “Once upon a time…” God’s story to His children starts like many other great stories.

V2:8 – God planted a garden and placed the man in it. But then in v3:24 He drove the man out. Such a contrast from placing to driving. Not only did He drive him out, but He stationed a guard with a flaming sword to guard the way. From who? The man.

They must have really not wanted to leave Eden. I bet they were crying, scared, begging to stay.
