Deuteronomy 13:5 – Kill the Dreamer

“But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the Lord…”

In verse 3 it says “for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all you heart and with all your soul.”

That seems fairly brutal that He wd test them that way. Seems rough. I don’t think it’s an active testing though – He’s not trying to trick them. But all things allowed can be a form of temptation: to do the things we sdn’t do.

We’re faced w/ decisions all day long. Why? B/c otherwise, we’re robots and that doesn’t do anything for anyone.

So what’s a reason for allowing these possible situations to be tempted? To show our love for God and bring Him glory that we fallen little creatures can love and worship and obey Him.

So the tests that He allows (all day long) can result in go either way in a sense. But beware the one they come thru, they have gone too far. They get stoned… with stones.
