Buena Vista Social Club (1999). – 3/5

I thought this was good an interesting, but I felt they cd have done more w/ it. It kinda felt like they fell into this great situation w/ these great, forgotten musicians and just turned a camera on.

They cd have done more, imo. I’m not sure what… maybe nothing, but it just felt like they missed a bigger opportunity.

Maybe it’s b/c they filmed these people in Cuba walking the streets, telling stories, talking about where they grew up and other musicians, but it wasn’t quite “on.”

Interesting, but not incredible.
